Amberley's Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to book with us - we very much look forward to welcoming you.
By making this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Prices and Deposit
The price of the accommodation includes the following:
Electricity, linen, cleaning, hot water, heating and the toiletries provided. Your booking will be confirmed in writing, by email, upon receipt of a £20 non-refundable deposit, payable by cheque, interbank transfer or credit/debit card.
As a thatched property smoking causes a significant additional fire hazard so Amberley Cottage is a non-smoking establishment. Contravening this condition may result in you being asked to leave and a deep cleaning surcharge of £50 being levied. A designated outdoor smoking area is provided.
Sorry, we do not allow pets at this property.
Acceptance of Children and Child Safety
Children of all ages are welcome but ultimate responsibility for their supervision and safety is entirely that of the parents/ guardians. A cot and high chair are provided for infants. The lower bunk offers a "close to the floor" sleeping option for a toddler or young child. A stair gate is provided. Potential safety hazards to be managed by the parents/ guardians are the wood burning stove and unrestrained openings on first floor windows.
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable.
If you do need to cancel it's appreciated if you can provide as much notice as possible.
A notice period of 14 days or greater only incurs the loss of your deposit.
If you cancel, or fail to notify us of your intention not to honour your booking between 48 hours and 14 days of your intended stay you will be invoiced for 50% of the booking value. If you cancel within 48 hours of your stay you will be invoiced for the full value of your booking.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for your stay at Amberley. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Guests are invited to arrive between 3pm and 10pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged.
Late arrival procedure
If you wish to arrive after 10 pm the key will be left for you in a key safe beside the front door of the accommodation – you will need to contact the owner for the code to access.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages, spillages or other damage, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents.
